Principal’s Message

Principal’s Message

Catholicate Higher Secondary School, the brain child of late His Grace Geevarghese Mar Philexenose Metriopolitan, popularly known as ‘Puthenkavil Kochu Thirumeni’ is now at the glittering heights of eighty four glorious years.

As one of the prestigious educational institutions in Kerala, we are committed to the comprehensive progress of the society. We have been making remarkable initiatives in both curricular and extracurricular areas.  I am particularly thankful to be surrounded by a strong management team, dedicated teachers and parents, hard-working support of office staff and, of course, a great group of students that always make our efforts fruitful to a greater extend.

Results of the outgoing batches, entrance coaching centres functioning in our school, achievements in the state fairs and melas etc, illustrate the above said achievements.

We have to run further to attain more speed to cover more distance and to attain more heights. We, students, teachers and parents should function as a team to protect our public education system which is under threat recently due to various reasons.

Education is not merely acquirement of facts but also acquirement of values. The major role of education is the shaping of the personality of a child, making it useful to the society. To achieve this objective, we feel that there should be a paradigm shift in the minds of all, who are in touch with this glorious institution in one way or the other.

In the pursuit of excellence I strongly appreciate the parent fraternity for supporting the school in every possible way. I also appreciate the relentless efforts of our teachers for giving their best in bringing out the best in each child. Let us all work together for the betterment of others.

I would call up on the student community to be modest, humble and disciplined, keeping respect for our traditional values, while being ready to expand the horizons of their knowledge and skills by dreaming big and working hard.

With love.
